Nestled in between lush green context, overlooking vast farmlands, this dream of a site is selected to build a small outhouse adjacent to clients existing residence.  As beautiful as the site is, it comes with its challenges of fitting a varied program in a limited footprint.

We envisioned a house that embodies both comfortable spaces and a nuanced modern design. Careful planning ensured that all the building and its roots fit ‘within’ the existing backyard footprint. A hybrid structural system ensures limited disturbance at site and a faster execution timeline. Exposed natural materials ensured the architecture blends ‘among’ the natural surroundings.

The upper floor with its large glass windows and viewing decks or ‘machaans’ allows for unobstructed views of the farms and the beautiful hills ‘beyond’.
